Arielle Kebbel

Arielle Caroline Kebbel (born February 19, 1985) is an American film and television actress.

Acting career

Within the first week of moving to Los Angeles, she booked her first major role as Lindsay Lister on Gilmore Girls, which became a recurring role in the 3rd-5th seasons of the series. She also has previously guest starred on the series Grounded for Life. She played Heather Hunkee in Soul Plane (2004), Elyse Houston in American Pie: Band Camp (2005), Cookie in Reeker, and in 2006 appeared in both John Tucker Must Die and the Japan-filmed horror film The Grudge 2; she has described her character in The Grudge 2, who becomes involved with the "Grudge" curse as part of an initiation rite, as "the girl you see in the background of all the pictures that wants to be a part of everything but never really is".

Notes: Josie was discovered by a scout after appearing in a fashion show that she was asked to appear in while she was at a barbecue in her home town. She featured in the 2000 & 2001 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition. Josie also appeared in the book 'A second decade of Guess? Images'.
Josie has starred in the independant films THE MALLORY EFFECT and SWATTERS, and has recently completed filming VAN HELSING for Universal Pictures opposite Hugh Jackman and Kate Beckinsale.
Josie will also appear in Martin Scorsese's film AVIATOR in a supporting role opposite Leonardo DiCaprio and is currently set to star in the feature film LITTLE BLACK BOOK for Revolution Studios opposite Brittany Murphy, Holly Hunter and Kathy Bates.

Josie Maran is a young star who is quickly capturing the attention of both the modeling world and most recently, the Hollywood community. After a successful career as the face of Maybelline, Maran went on to be featured in print campaigns for Guess, Gap, American Eagle and Ralph Lauren. She has been featured in the Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition, as well as on the covers of such publications as Glamour, Self, Vogue, Marie Claire, Seventeen and Lucky. Yet, it is Maran’s upcoming film projects this year which will establish her as one of the talented breakout actresses of her generation.

Following her role in Van Helsing, Maran will next be seen in a starring role opposite Holly Hunter and Brittany Murphy in Little Black Book, released by Sony on October 15th. In this film, directed by Nick Hurran, Maran stars as Lulu, the ex-girlfriend of Stacy’s (Murphy) current boyfriend. After digging a bit too deep into Stacy’s boyfriend’s past, she discovers more details than she wants to know.

To top off her year, Maran will also star in the highly anticipated Martin Scorsese film The Aviator, the biographical account of Howard Hughes, also starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Cate Blanchett and Kate Beckinsale. Maran will portray the character of Thelma, a cigarette girl that captivates Hughes (DiCaprio) following their introduction by his press agent.

Maran continues to be the face of Maybelline, appearing in numerous domestic and international print ads and commercials. Additional film credits include starring roles in the independent feature films The Mallory Effect and Swatters.

Maran currently resides in Los Angeles.
